AFL Women’s (AFLW) is Australia’s national Australian rules football league for female players. The first season of the women’s football league began with 8 inaugural teams in 2017, expanding to 14 teams in the 2020 season. The growth of Women’s football is exciting for football fans all around the country, providing the opportunity for females to aspire to play football at the highest professional level.
